In a peaceful, sunny plainland area, at six hundred metres above sea level, at only 4 Km
away from Assisi, is located the Castello di Petrata, an ancient castle of the XIV th
century.
Attached to it there is a small church of the XVIII th century, considered of great historical
and architectural importance by the Ministry for Arts and Culture.
Completely renovated and elegantly furnished, it is surrounded by a natural environment of
great charm, typical oth the green Umbrian hills.

warm atmosphere, typical of a private residence
and ideal for an enjoyable and relaxing stay in
harmony with nature.
The restaurant offers a wide range of local dishes,
prepared with the special touch of the antique
Umbrian tradition.

Guests can use the sports facilies offered:

- a swimming-pool
- mountain bike
- and at a short distance away, a horse-back
riding area.
The Country House is also highly recommended for
meetings, seminars, conventions, weddings and
special events because of its spacious halls, located
on the main floor.

The castle consists of 24 comfortables
rooms,each one different from the other, both in
furnishing and spatial arrangement;
2 apartments
with double private facilities are also available
along with Suites with double bedded loft.
From all the rooms , there is a wonderful view
onto the countryside where one can smell the
fresh dewy air or listen to the twittering of the
birds; at the same time, one may enjoy an
extraordinary panorama of the vast Umbrian
valley, extending views from the Basilica of St.
Francis to the Albornoziana Fortress of Assisi
and from the Park of Mount Subasio to Perugia. |
