On the borders of Umbria and Tuscany, a few kilometers from Lake Trasimeno, you arrive at Villa Stampa. Beyond the heights overlooking the lake and fields of olive groves there is a road branching off and winding its way down through an oak wood...This tiny hamlet is an old country estate dating back to 1700, consisting of the main house and other smaller ones surrounding it. It is situated in a valley known as "Pian di Marte",
(the Mars plain) named after the god of war, Mars, and recalls the bloody retreat of the Romans following against Hannibal at the Battle of Trasimeno.
The name Villa Stampa probably derives from "la stampa del bollo di dogana" that means "the print of the customs stamp".
You can enjoy the Villa and its surrounds in number of ways: swimming or simply relaxing beside the pool which has a splendid view of the valley below; going for walks on the lanes and tracks nearby. And much more ...
Since the days of Arianna it is a known fact that the best paths are those that follow the ancient trails. Here you can come across Etruscan remains, Tuscan monasteries with Umbrian artefacts, flora and fauna or the bush forests of the Macchia Mediterranea. For this reason, you are provided on arrival with maps and information on routes and trails in this area so that you can make the most of your stay here. You will discover a different world by the simplest and most pleasurable of means. You can go foot-trekking, undertake cycle tours or horse rides. This way, you will get to see the more hidden side of Umbria and Tuscany one that is unusual and surprisingly inviting.

The Agri-tourism center disposes of :
n 4 apartments formed by one double-bed bedroom, bathroom,kitchen and the possibility to add a single bed, if requested.
n 3 apartments with 2 double-bedrooms, bathroom, living room,kitchen and a balcony. If requested, a single bed can be added.
n.1 apartement in the main house with five rooms, two bathrooms,kitchen and large living room with a fireplace.
All together there are seven double beds, 23 single beds for a maximum receptivity of 37 bed places.
In the small village you can stay in charming rooms, junior suites, maisonettes really comfortable, furnished with a particular taste and great imagination, "Fiorile" for example, expresses all its colors, so "wisteria and honeysuckle" .Our apartments all have input independent, and private bathroom, and overlook the terraces and gardens. The two most important ancient Villa suites, one with a huge terrace overlooking the valley, the other with a precious sculptural bed made of quality materials and a large stone fireplace of 1860.
Also in Villa, here too great charm, the hostel: charming rooms decorated with antique furniture sometimes reinterpreted by us (one bathroom every two rooms) is the most advantageous proposal that we are able to offer our guests.
The diversity of housing and their costs are still inadequate to meet the most varied demands.

COMING FROM FLORENCE
Take the motorway A1 to the exit sign of Valdichiana.
Enter the motorway leading to the Lake Trasimeno and come out at Passignano Est. Continue to Castel Rigone. After a 7 km uphill you will see a crossroad, turn left following the direction Lisciano Niccone. After 6 km turn left on a white road, where you can find our farmholidays sign. Keep on the right and we are on high on the left.
COMING FROM ROME
Take the motorway A1 to the exit Orte. Enter the motorway E7 till you reach Perugia, and without entering the city continue following the direction for lake Trasimeno on the motorway leading to the motorway A1 (Arezzo-Firenze).
