Casa Sola is a farm located near the town of Barberino Val d'Elsa at 30 Km. from Florence and 28Km. from Siena, in the heart of the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero area. It extends for a total of 120 hectares, 25 of which are invested in specialized vineyards and 40 in olive groves.

A lovely swimming pool amongst the olive trees is available for our guests.
Water colour painting and cooking courses , trekking, bicycling, horseback riding, music concerts in ancient nearby churches, weekly visit to the vineyards and wine cellar, wine and oil tasting.
JOYCE BRIAN'S ART EXHIBITION Fattoria Casa Sola presents the exhibition of this American artist. At our front desk, you will find all useful information in order to be able to organize your spare time and cultural or naturalistic itineraries to make the most of your holidays.
We address you to the best golf course (nine or eighteen holes), riding school or horse trekking centres. We can organize for you cooking course, water paintings or photograph lessons. We will dedicate you an entire morning opening the doors of our estate and production. It will be a very pleasant evening tasting our products and learning about the wine making process.
We will give you our assistance in order to book your visit at the most important museum, to plan a logic and omni comprehensive itinerary. We might suggest gastronomic curiosity, place to visit, concert, events and local market. For our youngest guests, is available a dedicated space with tennis table, cricket and other outdoor games. Mountain bike available. Joyce Brian is an accomplished artist and teacher. She has many solo and group exhibitions for the past 30 years and has been awarded prizes at the Nassau County Museum and in many art fairs. Joyce spends summers in Italy, where she has artwork on permanent display in the city of Brescia. Her inspirations come from the landscapes and light of Italy as well as from the eastern end of Long island. The exhibition will be open every day until the end of July.
ITINERARIES: At our front desk, you will find all useful information in order to be able to organize your spare time and to make the most of your holidays. In this page you will find a photo selection by L.Bojola. Images represent interesting and representative place and architectures of the nearby area. The interactive map will help you to identify the precise location of the place you wish to visit. We suggest you to visit the permanent exhibition of sculptures and installations, the Chianti sculture Park. And it will be a pleasure for us to inform our guests about the concerts and cultural events inside the Park an Amphitheatre/sculpture. Parco Sculture del Chianti
On two facing and equidistant hills from the office headquarters, are situated Poderi Montarsiccio e Ticciaia, two fabulous houses recently restored and functioning as agritourism. In total eleven apartments, all with an independent entrance, built on two floors in order to guarantee more privacy. They are rustically furnished with old country -style furniture. Comfortable, with their own individual heating and private veranda.
Our lovely swimming pool is situated 900 metres from the apartments amongst the olive trees. It is available for our guests from June to September. On Thursday the swimming-pool is open for our guests until midnight.
Six apartments, providing accommodation for a total of 30 guests, all with an independent entrance, built on two floors in order to guarantee more privacy.
They are very elegantly furnished with old country -style furniture. Comfortable, with their own individual heating and private veranda. The pink apartment; The fireplace is the characteristic features of its warmish style. A veranda opens itself in front of a characteristic arch and barbecue area and wooden oven. Wooden ceiling and floor with old terracotta tiles and rustic furniture.
The white apartment; It is the biggest apartment with a great glass window arch on a marvellous view of the valley, a fireplace and part of the characteristic old wooden fiddle. Wooden ceiling and floor with old terracotta tiles and rustic furniture.
The yellow apartment: Opening the kitchen door you will get surprised by the veranda: a cosy angle among aromatic bushes and yellow roses which bloom in early summer. Wooden ceiling and floor with terracotta tiles and rustic furniture.
The red apartment, the so called barn It is an independent building with its typical windows with bricks, is a delightful nest for honeymooners or couples in search of privacy. The green apartment; The fireplace and the stone-wall-kitchen are the characteristic features of its warmish style. Wooden ceiling and floor with old terracotta tiles and rustic furniture.
The blue apartment; A veranda with a breathtaking panorama, a spacious private garden, and very spacious inside with still part of the characteristic old wooden fiddle. Wooden ceiling and floor with old terracotta tiles and rustic furniture.
TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS: Our farm can be easily reached by car or scooter following these travelling instructions: AUTOSTRADA DEL SOLE A1 towards Florence. Exit at FIRENZE IMPRUNETA and join the Firenze-Siena Superstrada travelling south towards SIENA. Exit the superstrada at SAN DONATO. Travel beyond the village of San Donato following the main road. Overcoming the village of San Donato (1 Km about), on your right side follow the sign posted for CASA SOLA.
