Only one hour away by car, you can visit the marvellous romanic cities of Siena and Massa Marittima. Further east, beyond the Orcia river, you will find San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza, spectacular example of Renaissance city and the 16th century Montepulciano, thriving with artwork by world-known Renaissance artists. Further west, the Maremma-side extends up to the Tirreno-sea coast, with its typical seaside resorts, namely Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala, Follonica, l' Argentario and the famous parco dell’Uccellina. The Etruscan settlements of Roselle, Vetulonia and Sovana are particularly interesting from a historical and cultural perspective.
