Wine climate change

Let's get used to less grapes. The annual report drawn up by the Wine Observatory confirms what some of the workmen knew or expected in some way: 2017 was a particularly difficult year in terms of wine production. In quantitative terms, about 26% less was produced than grapes, accompanied by an extremely hot and very dry climate that did not allow the plants to ripen all the grapes. That being said, it is first and foremost acknowledged and paid tribute to the work of Italian winemakers, who with constant care of the vineyards and a great adaptation ability are succeeding in completing harvesting anyway. In particular, they have kept better old vineyards, more structured and equipped to withstand environmental stresses.
